REVIEW PAPER ON THE NERVE (CERAE)

Context:

The movie nerve is a story about a student named Venus “Vee” Delmonico. Where she got herself in trouble by playing an online game of truth or dare where there are people who control her moves and give her missions. The reason why Dee played that game is because of these two reasons: first, if you completed the mission, you can get money. the amount of money was depending on how hard the mission can be. Second, it is because of her bestfriend named Sydney. She was the one who invited Vee to play that game. But later in the movie, they became rivals. At the end of the movie, Vee’s guy bestfriend helped them to get out of that game because the final missions were like an exchange of your life and was very dangerous.

Experience:

While I was watching the movie, I was very amazed because the plot of the story can really happen now or in the future. Nowadays, we are now very advanced in terms of technology so we don’t have an idea that maybe some people now made that kind of game. The feelings that I felt when we watched the movie was unexplanable. I felt various kinds of feeling. I felt happy, sad, annoyed, “kilig”,overwhelmed.

Reflection:

The main thing that I learned while watching the movie is to be really careful in using the social media. We don’t know that in just one mistake, we might really regret doing it. we should also not trust people easily especially if you just met him at any social media sites or in the internet. We should also not go to a website that you think might be dangerous

Action:

With my realization, I conclude that we should apply the rule “Think before you click” because in just one click, we don’t know what will be the prize of it. We should also raise an awareness that we should get rid of any websites that is not safe. and most importantly, we should not do what others tell us to do especially in the social media.

Evaluation:

If i will rate this movie, I would give it a 10/10. because this movie serves as an eye-opener to the people especially the teens nowadays. I would recommend this movie to everyone because you will learn many lessons and realizations that we should really be careful in using the Internet. This Movie is like an awareness that we should “think before we click”

DO MEDIA SHAPE US OR DO WE SHAPE MEDIA?

Using media is very common nowadays. because of technology, we have an access on how to use it. In our generation now, we are called the “Digital Citizen” because we have a knowledge and skills on how to use the technology effectively and properly.

In my own opinion, Media do really shape us. It is because by using media, we know what is happening in the world, they make our everyday life easier, and we can get many information as much as possible. the most common media that people are using nowadays is Social Media. it includes facebook, twitter, instagram, and etc.

Media shapes us because media taught us that we should be wise enough if the information that we got or read is reliable or not. Nowadays people post about something that is not true so we tend to agree to it and ended up reading a fake news.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
